Nathan Rutherford works in the biotechnology industry. A biologist by training, he received his MSc from the University of Toronto and previously conducted research on the development of zebrafish and sea urchins. He believes some of the most important (and fun) work in science is explaining it in a way that provokes a sense of wonder. Outside of science, Nathan is an avid reader, especially for mythology; writes fantasy and science stories; and enjoys cooking, hiking, and movies.
